Overview:
The phenomenal rise in the popularity of bourbon whiskey is the driver behind this event. The Bourbon Tasting sessions- three of them over the course of the day- is the event’s central attraction- offering between 25 and 50 bourbon whiskeys for tasting. This creates what is best described as a ‘flavor extravaganza’.
Included in this Tasting are ‘High Corn’ bourbons, ‘High Rye’ bourbons, ‘Cask Strength’ bourbons, ‘Wheaters’ and of course ‘Sour Mash’ bourbons. This Tasting Pavilion is rightly called a ‘bourbon lovers paradise’.
To further educate and entertain-the event features Mixologists that periodically demonstrate bourbon cocktail recipes– ranging from the unique and exotic to classic.
There is no better music companion to bourbon than Blues- and this festival does not disappoint. Live Blues will play from the Mainstage throughout the event.
A wide selection of food trucks will offer a food choice for almost any palette, and wine, beer and of course, bourbon, will be offered by the glass.
The Bourbon and Blues Festival offers Detroiters a true bourbon taste experience while offering a perfect sponsorship opportunity for any company wanting to target Millennials and GenX in a relaxed and friendly setting.
