Overview:
Another unique Special Events Management production- Chicago's Sausage Fest hits right at the core of this food-loving city's long romance with German and Polish cuisine. Early German and Polish settlers began making and selling sausage more than a hundred years ago- and ever since- the sausage has been a much loved and celebrated part of Chicago's local cuisine. Finally, there is a festival dedicated to Chicago's sausage tradition.
Sausage Fest brings together some of the city's great sausage makers who each offer their particular brand of sausage along with a wide variety of sausage -enhancing sides. Visitors can sample sausage in a variety of styles and old and new recipes- such as Polish, German, Greek, Middle Eastern, Indian, Asian and more. Of course there is plenty of cold craft and domestic beer on hand to wash it all down.
An annual tradition is the election of the Festivals 'Sausage King'- a fierce but friendly competition that is widely advertised throughout the city via Facebook, Twitter, individual pledge donation pages, and other forms of Social Media.
Sausage Fest has quickly formed a reputation for a great Mainstage music lineup- featuring some top emerging Indie Rock, Pop, and Funk bands. Some of the more prominent bands that have played this festival include: OK GO, The Fixx, Eve 6, Hot Hot Heat, 10,000 Maniacs, Slightly Stoopid, Marcy Playground and Hometown Hero. Mainstage line-up will be announced in late April.
