Overview
Raging Waves is Illinois' newest and largest outdoor waterpark, located on more than 40 acres in Yorkville, IL, 45 minutes west of the Chicago loop. The state of Illinois- and the entireregion- has nothing close to resembling this unique, huge water play ground.
The park is just four years old- and over these past three years, attendance has grown threefold- and is expected to reach close to half a million by Labor Day, 2011.
During the summer months, visitors experience this Aussie-themed, family friendly waterpark which features 18 water slides - one featuring a four-story drop, a separate kiddie pool area, wave pool, lazy river, over 20 private cabanas and more. Since its aperture in 2008, Raging Waves is one of the World Waterpark Association's (WWA) newest attractions, and was named as "Best of the Midwest 2010" by Midwest Living Magazine.
