Fountain Square Art Festival boasts more than a quarter century of success as one of the most prestigious and acclaimed art festivals in the Midwest. With more than 240 artists, it's the largest and oldest juried fine arts fair on Chicago's North Shore.
The Festival is located on six city blocks in downtown Evanston amid new luxury condominiums, offices, eclectic and upscale restaurants, a bevy of coffee cafes, stores and hotels. A large sculpture garden located in the middle of the festival serves as its focal point.
This urban setting creates the perfect ambience and embodies the word "sophistication" with an audience of discerning, upscale art aficionados and collectors. The event draws approximately 50,000 people who come from both the North Shore suburbs as well as Chicago. In addition, a kids' "art tent" offers art lessons and projects for youngsters.
