For the past 21 years, over three days in Spring, Chicago's McCormick Place, the largest convention center in North America, becomes a mecca for Black women seeking to empower, to educate, to improve and celebrate their lives and the lives of their families.
In 2016, for the first time ever, The Black Women's Expo goes on tour - adding two cities. On September 16 - 18, Washington DC will host and on October 7 - 9, Atlanta hosts.
The Black Woman’s Expo has become the nation's foremost exposition targeting African American consumers. The Atlanta Expo will take place in the Georgia World Congress Center. BWE is expected to draw approximately 50,000, and impact each attendee with current, valuable, relevant information and mixing it all up with fun and top-flight entertainment.
Every aspect of the Black woman's life is addressed and celebrated via a plethora of small and large events, specific themed pavilions, standing-room only seminars and general sessions addressing critical issues facing African American women– all presented by a five star roster of experts.
There are seven sponsorable pavilions– each connecting attendees to services and resources necessary to maintain their healthy, active lifestyles and their quality of life. Each pavilion offers seminars, demonstrations and interactive activities designed to empower, to educate and to improve quality of life.

The Expo augments all of this education and learning with top flight, high quality entertainment showcased daily on the Main Stage. There are show stopping local and national musical entertainment, fashion shows, a hair show, dance & theatrical performances to enjoy throughout the day.
There are more than 300 exhibitors and vendors offering an incredibly wide range of goods, services and information- all targeted to this active, engaged, brand-loyal, savvy consumer.
The Black Expo woman is between the ages of 25-54, has a HH income of $50+, is either married with children, single and 'looking', or a single mom. Many Black Expo women are business owners and leaders with higher education and want the best of everything in their lives -from what they wear, eat and drive to where they live, shop and travel. The Black Expo woman is more likely to purchase from a company that sponsors an event that she attends.
